According to the Montgomery County State’s Attorney’s Office, Vipul Thakkar, 53, of Owings Mills, pleaded guilty in Montgomery County Circuit Court to multiple charges, including theft and financial exploitation of a vulnerable adult, for his role in a gold bar scam targeting elderly victims. The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) has provided new details about the arrest of two individuals after a drug transaction, during which one suspect attempted to escape by ramming a police vehicle and was found with over two pounds of marijuana and a stolen handgun.
