Today in the Circuit Court for Montgomery County, MD, before the honorable Judge Jeannie Cho, Lemae Matthews, 23, pleaded guilty to being an accessory after the fact to murder in the first degree in the death of her younger brother, Christian Matthews, in Silver Spring in 2017. She was released on a $10,000 unsecured personal bond under several conditions including home detention and 24 hour curfew.
Pursuant to a plea agreement, she faces up to ten years in prison when she is sentenced. A sentencing hearing is scheduled for March 4th 2022 at 1:30p.m.

Gaithersburg, MD – Detectives from the Montgomery County Police – 3rd District Patrol Investigative Unit are investigating two vandalisms that occurred on October 12 and 13 at Veterans Plaza in downtown Silver Spring. Detectives have released surveillance video of the two suspects and are asking for the public’s help in identifying them.

Shortly before 4PM Tuesday, Officers responded to a reported bank robbery at the Essex Bank on Nelson Street in Rockville, in the plaza visible from Northbound I-270.
Officers determined that a suspect armed with a handgun robbed the bank and then fled the scene. The Rockville City Police Department is investigating in collaboration with Montgomery County Police. The incident was captured on security cameras. Further details were not immediately available.

Patrick C. Parker was arrested on Monday after allegedly raping and attempting to kill a homeless woman he had offered shelter to, according to a police report. He is charged with attempted second-degree murder, first-degree rape and first-degree assault.
