Gaithersburg Man Arrested After Allegedly Raping and Attempting To Kill a Homeless Woman

Patrick C. Parker was arrested on Monday after allegedly raping and attempting to kill a homeless woman he had offered shelter to, according to a police report. He is charged with attempted second-degree murder, first-degree rape and first-degree assault.

City of Gaithersburg Asking Residents “How Should We Spend Your Tax Dollars?”

The City of Gaithersburg sent out an email today asking residents to fill out an eight question survey to help them figure out how to spend tax revenue for Fiscal Year 2023. The survey will be available through October 17 and the results will be presented at the November 22 city council meeting.

Originally slated for a late 2020 opening, we spoke with a team member back in March who told us the restaurant would not open until 2022. Earlier today, Rio doubled down on the timeframe as they advertised a Spring 2022’arrival for the restaurant.

Montgomery County to Host Free Vaccine Clinic This Saturday at Watkins Mill High School

The Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services will host a COVID-19 vaccination clinic for age-eligible (12 years & older) individuals using the Pfizer vaccine on Sept. 25 at Watkins Mill High School (10301 Apple Ridge Rd).
