South House Garden located at 317 E. Diamond Ave in Gaithersburg is now open.

Locally Crafted, a retail shop that carries original art and artisan goods created exclusively by local makers,is now open at 125 Boardwalk Place (formerly Ann Taylor) at Rio in Gaithersburg.
According to owners Stacey Hammer & Heather Luxenberg, some of the unique products they will feature include art, jewelry, home décor, personal wellness (candles, body care, etc), fiber art, fashion accessories, pottery & ceramics, and gourmet treats.

Update on Former Growlers Location in Olde Towne Gaithersburg
Renovations are currently being done at 227 E. Diamond Ave in Gaithersburg, the former site of Growlers and Summit Station Brewery.

Update on Burton’s Grill & Bar in Kentlands, Liquor License Hearing Scheduled
Burton’s Grill & Bar has applied for its alcoholic beverage license with Montgomery County and is set to have a hearing on September 2nd.
The Montgomery County Department of Environmental Protection released a facility update on the Shady Grove transfer station earlier this morning.

City of Gaithersburg Election Candidates Certified
Yesterday the Gaithersburg Board of Supervisors of Elections certified candidates for the November 2nd election. Incumbent Jud Ashman and challenger Stephen Escobar for Mayor, and Dave Belgard, Philip Cook, Lisa Henderson, Yamil Hernández, and Jim McNulty for two City Council positions.
Per the Town of Poolesville:
The Board of Commissioners is pleased to announce that a new Town Manager has been hired to lead the municipality’s management and operations. Seasoned municipal official Tony Tomasello will serve as Town Manager, effective August 30, 2021. Tomasello was selected from a group of candidates who applied during the recent recruitment process, which was coordinated and conducted by the Town’s Commissioners.
