The American Minority Veterans Research Project will host an appreciation celebration for Veterans on Tuesday at the Silver Spring Civic Building, One Veterans Plaza in Silver Spring from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov 9. “Larger than life inflatable turkeys and penguins, glittering floats, marching bands, dancing groups, and Santa and his elves! The Montgomery County Thanksgiving Parade is the only Thanksgiving Parade in the metro DC area.
There will be a floating pumpkin patch event this Saturday at the Martin Luther King, Jr Indoor Swim Center at 1201 Jackson Rd in Colesville. Tickets can be purchased here.
