A truck was driven into 7-Eleven at the Ritchie Center in Rockville earlier this evening.
According to Rockville Police, the driver drove into the outside wall of the 7-Eleven at 785 Rockville Pike.

Accident on 355 in Bethesda, Expect Delays
A vehicle struck a utility pole and damaged/demolished a speed camera at 355 at Elsmere Ave. at approximately 12:30pm today.

Montgomery County firefighters are paying their respects to Green Valley Fire Department Battalion Chief Joshua Laird (Frederick County), who died on Wednesday, August 11, 2021, while responding to a two alarm house fire in the 9500 block of Ball Road in Ijamsville, Maryland.
The ceremonial procession transferring Frederick County Division of Fire and Rescue Services fallen firefighter, Station 25, Green Valley Fire Department Battalion Chief Joshua Laird, started at noon today and many will see Montgomery County Fire and Rescue paying their respects on highway overpasses between noon and 1pm.
Update on Germantown Apartment Fire
Montgomery County Fire and Rescue report that yesterday’s fire at the Riverstone apartment at 13109 Millhaven Pl has left around two dozen residents displaced. The fire began Tuesday evening after lighting struck the roof of the building. Over 85 fire fighters responded to the scene.

Lightning Strike Causes Building Fire in Germantown
Lightning caused a 2nd alarm fire at 13109 Millhaven Pl. in Germantown around 5pm Tuesday evening.
The Takoma Park Volunteer Fire Department has announced that their new engine will soon be in service. The new Engine still needs equipment mounting and crew training prior to assuming duty as the new Paramedic Engine 702.
The new Engine is a 2021 Pierce Enforcer, 10 years younger than the current 2011 Engine 702. Both were manufactured by Pierce Manufacturing in Appleton, Wisconsin.
Around 10pm on Saturday Night, Montgomery County Fire and Rescue unite from Cabin John Park and Special Ops TRT (Technical Rescue Team) responded to a call on the grounds of the Norwood School in Potomac.
A dog (10 or 11 year old mixed lab breed that weighs approximately 80 pounds) had slipped or fallen into an abandoned underground well.
Vehicle Fire in Gaithersburg on Wednesday
Montgomery County Fire & Rescue crews were dispatched to Edison Park Dr. in Gaithersburg on Wednesday for a vehicle fire. The units arrived on scene to find the car fully-engulfed. Nearby vehicles as well as the solar panels above were damaged, according to MCFR’s Pete Piringer.
