MoCo EmpowHER to Host Women in Sports Virtual Event
MoCo EmpowHER will be hosting a virtual event on Tuesday, February 23rd at 6PM titled Women in Sports.
Peter Rosenberg, a MoCo Native, is Now a WWE Champion
Peter Rosenberg, 41, grew up in Chevy Chase and graduated from B-CC. He is also a University of Maryland alumni and has been a local DJ at local stations such as WPGC, WHFS, and WJFK.
Weather Guidance During Virtual Learning
Per MCPS: “The weather forecast for the coming days likely has measurable snow and ice. The plan linked here reflects the various scenarios or options involving the continuation of virtual instruction, no instruction and early closing and the impact of these options on school system operations. MCPS will monitor the weather and any changes to school operations will be updated as necessary.”
MCPS Offers Adjustments for Second Semester to Improve Virtual Learning Experience and Promote Student Well-Being
MCPS recently shared that two new options are being offered to middle school and high school students for second semester. The news update can be seen in full here.
MCPS Responds to Gov. Hogan: “Our Focus Remains on the Academic Needs and the Health and Safety of Our Students and Staff.”
Earlier today, Governor Hogan held a press conference where he announced that he is “urgently calling on all county school systems to return to hybrid instruction no later than March 1 if not sooner.”

MCPS BOE Decides to Delay in-Person Return Until March 15 at Earliest
Today, the Board of Education voted during their virtual meeting to delay student and staff return to buildings. They have announced that March 15 will be the earliest day that students and staff will could conduct learning in person.
