Home Depot Design Center Set to Open Tomorrow, 9/7/20 in Montrose Crossing
The Home Depot Design Center will open on Monday, September 7th in Montrose Crossing.
Back in May of 2019, we let you know that Ninja Sushi was coming to the Colesville Shopping Center. It is now open.
The sushi restaurant has taken over the old Patches Gift Shop location (13452 New Hampshire Ave), a few stores down from Greek Village.
Good Harvest is Coming to MoCo
Good Harvest, a hot pot restaurant that has over 50 locations in China, is coming to Rockville.
The Washington Business Journal reports that MOM’s Organic Market has signed a lease with Bozzuto Development Co. and Stonebridge to take over the previous Montgomery Planning headquarters in Silver Spring. It will be located on the ground floor of 8787 Georgia Ave. as part of the planned redevelopment of the Montgomery County government facility.
Per WBJ, “MOM’s will anchor the redevelopment of a government facility in Silver Spring into a mix of retail and residential space that’s been in the works for nearly six years.”
Montgomery County will remain in Phase 2 as the State moves to its Phase 3 reopening, which went into effect today at 5 p.m. Montgomery County’s current case count is higher than it was when the County entered Phase 2 several months ago. Daily case counts in late June when the County entered Phase 2 averaged 67 cases per day. The current seven-day average of new confirmed cases is 85.
Venues such as indoor and outdoor restaurants may now include live performances as part of their dining experience. However, establishments are prohibited from allowing dancing or congregating in front of the performers. Individuals present must still wear masks unless they are eating or drinking (and they must be seated while eating and drinking). The new live-music guidelines go into effect immediately. On Wednesday evening, the Governor announced that more activities would be allowed under Phase 3; they are being reviewed to determine if the County could also allow some version of those activities.
MoCo officials officially launched the County’s first four Ride On electric buses with a ceremonial “unplug” event.
Following the event, the media will have an opportunity to speak with the officials and get video inside the buses and at other designated areas of the maintenance and transit operations facility including bus sanitizing demonstrations and sneak peak of new Flash buses.
Governor Hogan Announces Stage 3, Individual Counties Still to Make Own Decisions

The Regional chain has over 15 restaurants in Maryland, Virginia, and North Carolina, but the Clarksburg location (23221 Stringtown Rd.) will be MoCo’s first.
Work is about to get underway on the rio’s Phase II of renovations, as the fire pit lounge is now under construction.
The second phase features more enhancements along Rio’s lakefront, which will include a cozy fire pit lounge and an expansive and inclusive playground (which will require more permits before construction can begin).
