Boca Botanas Will Close After December 31st Until at Least Spring or Until the Indoor Dining Restrictions are Lifted
The Latin and Spanish tapas restaurant located in the Festival shopping center on Muddy Branch Road announced on its social media that the last day of operation will be Thursday, December 31st.

Taste MoCo’s Best Pizza in MoCo: Elite Eight
We are now down to the Elite Eight of the Best Pizza in MoCo tournament! These tournaments are a fun way to shine a little light on local restaurants.
Back in February of 2019, Mezeh Mediterranean Grill closed its Wheaton Mall location and reported on its website that it will be relocating to the Aspen Hill shopping center.
The would-be Aspen Hill location has been removed from the Mezeh website, but we spoke with a representative from the shopping center who told us the two sides still hope to reach an agreement soon.
Al Sospiro Trattoria Announces Closure
It was announced today on their Facebook page that Al Sospiro Trattoria in Olney (18035 Georgia Avenue) has closed.
South House Garden Still Coming to Olde Town Gaithersburg
Representatives from the South House Garden have told us they plan to open sometime late in the first quarter of 2021. The restaurant is located 317 E. Diamond Ave in Gaithersburg, the former home of Firehouse Cue and The End Zone (among others).
Current Kentlands Starbucks to Close Permanently Tonight, New Location to Open on Thursday 12/31
The new drive-thru Starbucks in the Kentlands was approved by the city of Gaithersburg back in 2018, but it took a little time for construction to get started.
