The second Love The Music Record Show in Silver Spring went without incident, as many record hunters throughout the Washington, D.C. area filled the room where dealers advertised both newer and older releases.
GoFundMe released their annual Giving Report, which ranks the most generous cities in America. Silver Spring came in at number three, behind Marietta, GA (2) and Spring, TX (1).

Ben Stein grew up in the Woodside Forest neighborhood of Silver Spring. He attended Montgomery Hills Junior High with Sylvester Stallone in the late 50s. Stein then moved on to Blair High School, where he was a year ahead of Goldie Hawn and graduated with journalist, Carl Bernstein (teamed with Bob Woodward to do much of the original reporting on the Watergate Scandal, which led to the eventual resignation of President Richard Nixon).
He majored in economics at Columbia University’s Columbia College and graduated with honors before graduating as valedictorian from Yale Law School.

WHEATON, Md. – Montgomery Parks(opens in a new tab), part of The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission, is hosting a virtual community meeting to present preliminary concept plans for the proposed community garden at Edgewood Neighborhood Park(opens in a new tab) in Fairland.
Community members testified in person or virtually during Public Hearing; four work sessions scheduled in December and January.
Wheaton, MD –The Montgomery County Planning Board, part of The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC), held a Public Hearing for the Silver Spring Downtown and Adjacent Communities Plan on December 2, 2021. This plan builds upon the success of the 2000 Silver Spring Central Business District Sector Plan to help the area continue to be a regional destination for the next 20 years while supporting sustainable growth and development in the emerging areas of the downtown and adjacent communities. Community members testified in person or virtually during the Planning Board’s Public Hearing. Some community members provided their comments in writing ahead of the Public Hearing for the Board’s consideration.
