Ride On Resuming Front Boarding, Fare Collection in April

Beginning Monday, April 5, 2021, front door boarding and fare collection will resume on Montgomery County’s Ride On, Ride On extRa, and Flash buses. These routines had been suspended due to COVID. With the return of front boarding, the rear doors on Ride On buses will return to their pre-COVID exit only layout.

Units are currently on scene of a (fuel) tanker truck crash involving a large fire on I-70 in Mount Airy near the Carroll and Frederick County border.

The Montgomery County Police Department announced on its social media pages today that they will be conducting focused traffic enforcement on February 24th, in areas around Shady Grove Rd and Mid County Highway.

Next Stage of Beltway Overpass Rehabilitation Includes 1 Month of Weeknight Beltway Closures

Beginning at 9PM on Sunday, January 24, Maryland State Highway Administration contractors will begin setting new steel beams as part of the rehabilitation of the Seminary Road bridge over the Beltway, between Connecticut and Georgia Avenues.
