Orangetheory Update: 2 Weeks Left!

There are two weeks left in my Orangetheory Transformation Challenge and I wanted to share some updates that I’m pretty proud of.

For the first time in a long time, I weighed in at under 200 pounds! I started this challenge at 207.8 pounds and have weighed in under 200 pounds three different times in the last week (199.5-199.8). Considering I have not made any changes to my diet, I’m very happy with these results.

Last update I shared that I had bumped my treadmill speeds up to become a “runner.” In the last two weeks I was able to up my “all out” effort (going as hard as you can for a short period of time) to 12 mph, which is the fastest level of speed fornthe treadmills at Orangetheory. I was able to up my incline to 4% during a few of these all outs…shoutout to coach Brittany Trail

For this update I also wanted to share the story of one of the local Orangetheory coaches, Kara Cotsalas (pictured above).

Kara recently celebrated her second year at Orangetheory. The before photo is about one month out from baby #2 and two months before her first Orangetheory class. She weighed 197 lbs.

She took her first Orangetheory class on August 9th, 2017, starting at two classes per week, but quickly upped it to 4-6 classes each week. One year later, on August 9th, 2018, she weighed in at 145– down 52 pounds, exactly one pound per week.

She lost 18 more pounds in the next six months and has been able to keep it off while substantially increasing her aerobic capacity and truly looking forward to and enjoying running. She’s also very proud of the friendships and support the Orangetheory community has provided her.

Join me for a free class as I wrap up my fitness challenge with Orangetheory. Just call the studio and let them know you don’t like to try a class with me. Here’s my schedule:

I hope to see you all there!
