Another one…Wednesday Night to Friday Storm

The threat is now 2-3 days away so let’s get into it. Right now, the National Weather Service is called for 4-6” for most of MoCo and 3-4” for areas like Bethesda and Silver Spring.

The Euro (European model) is showing a lot of snow for our area at the moment. About twice the amount forecasted by the National Weather Service.

The GFS (American model) is showing about 5 inches for MoCo, so it’s more in line with their forecast at the moment.

As with most storms in our area, and this winter’s pattern, it’s probably best not to expect too much until it’s a lot more certain to do so. Even then…you know how things go.

We’ll have a better idea of what to expect tomorrow when we see models converging on a solution.

We suspect we’ll see another Winter Storm Watch for our area until it’s known whether a warning or advisory is more appropriate for what’s to come.

We’ll have an update in the morning!
