Winter Weather Advisory for Northwest MoCo at Midnight

A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for Northwest MoCo starting at midnight and ending at 10am Monday morning (2/15).

Per the National Weather Service, northwest MoCo included places north and west of Gaithersburg like Germantown, Clarksburg, Damascus, Poolesville, etc.

A light glaze of ice from freezing rain/drizzle is expected.

Though much accumulation isn’t expected, the light glaze can still cause issues on sidewalks, roads, and bridges.

In addition to this, we are monitoring possible winter weather conditions for our area on Wednesday and Thursday into Friday morning.

According to Montgomery County Police, “A 20-year-old Capitol Heights man died Tuesday, November 28, 2023, after crashing his car into a parked vehicle on Spruell Drive.
