High Wind Warning for NW Montgomery County from Noon Until 2AM Saturday

20 to 30 mph northwest winds with gusts up to 60mph are expected in our area starting around noon today.

Though the high wind warning isn’t in effect throughout the whole county, high winds and wind gusts  of up to 60mph can be expected across as the county as the rest of MoCo is under a Wind Advisory.

The National Weather Service warns that this could lead to downed trees and power outages.

“People should avoid being outside in forested areas and around trees or branches. If possible, remain in the lower levels of your home during the windstorm and avoid windows. Use caution if you must drive.”
