Beyond MoCo: The Crazy Mason Milkshake Bar to Open Soon in Ellicott City

The Crazy Mason Milkshake Bar will be opening soon in Ellicott City in nearby Howard County. The shop will be located at 8225 Main Street in the historic downtown area.

The milkshake bar, which started out just under 2 years ago in South Carolina, has recently opened locations in Tennessee, North Carolina, and Virginia.

According to the press release, the milkshake bar is expected to open in early Summer 2022. The Crazy Mason Milkshake Bar® announced the expansion of their eighth store to be located in historic Old Ellicott City, just a short eleven (11) miles west of downtown Baltimore and thirty (30) miles from DC/Washington Metro Area.

The Crazy Mason Milkshake Bar offers sweet treats of all kinds, specializing in unique milkshakes and sundaes served in keepsake custom designed mason jars and color changing bowls.

The original store located in Myrtle Beach, SC was first opened in June 2020 by husband and wife duo, Bo and Sherri Steele.

The crazy creations began as a love of all things sweet and bringing something unique to their hometown. The mom-and-pop ice cream shop has quickly grown to an exquisite dessert destination brand with five (5) open locations and now three (3) location announcements underway of opening by Early Summer 2022.

The new Howard County store will be located in the heart of Old Ellicott City, right on Main St. This location is an independently licensee owned and operated store by Robert and Erin Studer.

“We partnered with a local couple in the Baltimore area that fell in love with our concept and wanted to bring The Crazy Mason to their home. The former theater on Main St. was on their radar and we couldn’t be happier for them and to see it transform the street front and the space inside to what we know and love about our concept; fun, tasty, crazy, memory making moments for our guests.”
