Montgomery County will join in the worldwide celebration of “Transit Driver Appreciation Day” on Friday, March 18, with County Executive Marc Elrich presenting a proclamation recognizing the day at 12:30 p.m. at the Silver Spring Bus Depot. Due to “unforeseen events,” Connecticut-based Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana has announced they will be pushing back the opening of its first DMV location at Bethesda’s Westfield Montgomery Mall (7101 Democracy Blvd) one week to Monday, March 28.
Representatives from the restaurant said the delay was due to a “minor technical issue.”
The four-year graduation rate for Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) students has risen to 91.4 percent, according to data released by the Maryland State Department of Education. The MCPS graduation rate rose 2.1 percentage points compared with last year, and is higher than the state average of 87.2 percent.
