Gaithersburg Named 2023’s Most Diverse City in the U.S.

The personal-finance website WalletHub today released its report on 2023’s Most Diverse Cities in America, and MoCo claimed the top three spots with Gaithersburg, Germantown, and Silver Spring coming in as the three most diverse cities/areas the United States. Rockville was also ranked 13th. Categorized rankings available below.

To determine the places in the U.S. with the most mixed demographics, WalletHub compared the profiles of more than 500 of the largest cities (areas) across five major diversity categories: socioeconomic, cultural, economic, household and religious.

Gaithersburg ranked 14th in socioeconomic diversity, 3rd in cultural diversity, 243rd in economic diversity, 391st in household diversity, and 97th in religious diversity. Germantown was ranked 43rd in socioeconomic diversity, 1st in cultural diversity, 250th in economic diversity, 426th in household diversity, and 97th in religious diversity.
