Gaithersburg Farmers Markets Return in May

The City  of Gaithersburg offers two Farmers Markets, providing residents with locally grown produce throughout the year. The variety of fruits & vegetables changes weekly as different crops reach maturity. More on Casey Farmers Market and Main Street Market below:

Casey Farmers Market is held every Thursday, May through November 30, 2023, in the parking lot behind Casey Community Center, at 810 South Frederick Avenue. “The market is open 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Fresh, locally grown produce & eggs. Freshly baked breads & sweets. Locally brewed coffees, beer & spirits. Learn about how we can help slow climate change. Talk to folks about different Health Insurance options through the Maryland Health Connection. Once the growing season ends, the market will continue once a month over the winter, with scheduled dates of December 7, 2023, and January 18, February 15, March 21 & April 18, 2024, weather permitting.”

Main Street Market is a long standing tradition in the Kentlands neighborhood. Located around the Main Street Pavilion at 301 Main Street, this farmers market is open year round 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. “We have fresh locally grown fruits, vegetables and microgreens, mushrooms, plants & flowers. Take home savory prepared dinners, homemade breads & artisan sweet treats. Find your favorite drink with spirits, fresh ground coffee & onsite created juices. Take home some treats for your furry friends and shop our locally crafted Artists & Crafters tables. Enjoy live music by local musicians & songwriters the first Saturday of each month.”
