Rosemary Hills-Lyttonsville Park Community Meeting

Residents can comment online or in-person about the future of the popular Silver Spring destination: Montgomery Parks, part of The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission, is holding a hybrid community meeting about the planned renovation of Rosemary Hills-Lyttonsville Local Park.

During the meeting, Montgomery Parks staff and residents will discuss potential amenities for the park, such as a community garden, soccer court, picnic shelters or a dog park. “We are looking forward to having this conversation with the community and sharing what we have learned about recreational facility needs in this area,” said Project Manager Rachel Newhouse. The renovation also calls for ADA improvements to the park.

Rosemary Hills-Lyttonsville Park spans 17 acres in the Rosemary Hills neighborhood of Silver Spring. Over 68,000 people live within walking and biking distance of the park. Current features of the park include a basketball court, soccer and softball fields, and a playground. The Gwendolyn E. Coffield Community Center also sits on the property.
