Stephen Knolls School, located at 10731 St. Margaret’s Way in Silver Spring, provides services for students with mild to severe disabilities. Last week, the school held its first ever Thanksgiving parade on November 17th.

Students were decked out in festive outfits and their equipment was spruced up with colorful posters. Teachers and staff dressed up as well, including Principal Abby Brandt, who donned a blow-up turkey costume.

The school also distributed 20 Thanksgiving baskets to families in need. With help from its Parent Staff Association and community partners, including Wegmans, Giant and Safeway, Stephen Knolls provided frozen turkeys and all the fixings for a full holiday meal. Check out the photo gallery here.
