2023 Burtonsville Toy Drive Provides Over 100 Area Children With Toys For the Holidays


The 2023 Burtonsville Toy Drive, organized by Dave Golden of the Burtonsville 2.0 Facebook group and involving several volunteers (listed below), provided over 150 gifts to 103 children.

“It was heart-warming and made this holiday season special to come together as a community to help our neighbors.” Golden told us. “The generosity of the Burtonsville community including our neighbors and local businesses made all the difference bringing joy to so many this holiday season.” Photos and additional details below:

Details:

• The Burtonsville community generously donated over 150 gifts, which were gift-wrapped by volunteers

• Squisito Pizza and Pasta, Colesville Dentistry, and Centrado Cafe donated food and supplies

– Children ranged in age from infant to 11+

– Gifts not picked up on 12/17 will be delivered to those without transportation

– Any gifts in excess of those given away will be donated to children with special needs

– Dave dressed as Santa  and took many photos with smiling kids
