Police Investigating Fatal Crash on ICC/MD 200


Per MDTA Police:
“The Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) Police Collison Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal crash that occurred early Sunday morning in Montgomery County.

On December 17, at 3:58 a.m., MDTA Police Officers assigned to the Intercounty Connector (ICC) Detachment responded to the eastbound lanes of the ICC/MD 200 prior to Georgia Avenue (Exit 8).

Responding officers located a silver Toyota Corolla, a purple Honda Odyssey and a black Nissan Rogue which had all been involved in a crash. A passenger in the Nissan was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Toyota, the driver of the Nissan and an additional passenger in the Nissan were transported to local hospitals with serious injuries. The driver of the Honda and a passenger were transported to local hospitals with minor injuries.

This is an open and ongoing investigation. Anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to call the MDTA Police at 443-324-8898.”
