The two unrelated incidents both occurred at the Walgreens on the 1300 block of University Blvd.

On April 6 at approximately 10:10 am, Takoma Park Police were in the 1300 block of University Blvd outside the Walgreens when they were flagged down by the store manager for a subject actively shoplifting.  The officers were outside when the subject fled the establishment with unpaid merchandise, passing all points of sale.  After initially resisting arrest, Ferrufino-Villatoro was taken into custody. Ferrufino-Villatoro was arrested, charged accordingly, and transported to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit.

On April 5 at approximately 12:25 pm, Takoma Park Police were patrolling in the 1300 block of University Blvd (Walgreens) when an officer witnessed a subject, identified as Gonzalez, exiting the Walgreens with unpaid merchandise, passing all points of sale.  Gonzalez fled on foot with the merchandise before being apprehended by officers. The stolen items were returned to Walgreens. Gonzalez was arrested, charged accordingly, and transported to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit.
