Latest Update on Normandie Farm (Potomac)

Normandie Farm Restaurant at 10710 Falls Rd, closed in June 2022. At the time it was expected that new ownership would be taking over with plans reopen the restaurant in late summer, but that didn’t occur. The space was taken over by DC’s H2-Collective, the group who recently reopened Comus Inn last week.

H2-Collective is owned and operated by “Washington DC-born and bred hospitality entrepreneurs Eric and Ian Hilton are the innovative sibling duo behind a culinary/nightlife collective that includes more than a dozen restaurants, bars, and lounges located throughout the D.C. metro area.” We reached out for an update, but the group told us that there is nothing new to report.

Hope is not lost, though, as Normandie Farm has a hearing with Montgomery County’s Alcoholic Beverage Services on Thursday, May 2 at 11am for a “New Class B, Beer & Wine License, On-Sale Only.” We will provide an update when future plans for the location become a little more clear, but things do appear to at least be in motion.

Normandie Farm was founded in 1931 by Marjory Hendricks in the midst of the Depression. It is one of a handful of restaurants that are still in existence from that era. Hendricks, along with her sister, purchased the property that had been planned for a country club and built it into a restaurant.
