Wonder Announces Grand Opening for First of Four Montgomery County Locations

Wonder has officially announced the grand opening date for its first Montgomery County location, with the modern food hall concept set to debut Thursday, May 21 at 12240 Rockville Pike in North Bethesda/Rockville.

The opening marks the first of four planned Montgomery County locations for the rapidly expanding company, which combines dine-in, takeout, and delivery under one roof while allowing customers to mix and match menu items from multiple restaurant brands in a single order.

The North Bethesda/Rockville restaurant is taking over the former Stephen Anthony Salon space in Towne Plaza, next to California Fish Grill. A public grand opening event is scheduled for 10:30am on May 21, according to an event listing shared by the company.

As previously reported, Wonder is continuing its Montgomery County expansion with additional locations planned in Burtonsville, Germantown, and Gaithersburg.

The Burtonsville location will open in Burtonsville Crossing between Haraz Coffee House and Eggspectation. In Germantown, Wonder is preparing to move into the former Jos. A. Bank storefront at 20936 Frederick Road in Neelsville Village Center, a site that was once planned for an Amazon 4-star store before the concept was scrapped. The Gaithersburg location will occupy part of the former Party City space in Kentlands, which is being redeveloped into multiple storefronts following the retailer’s closure.

Founded by entrepreneur Marc Lore, Wonder has rapidly expanded across the Northeast with a model centered around chef-driven restaurant brands operating from a single kitchen hub. Customers can order dishes from multiple concepts simultaneously for delivery, pickup, or dine-in.
