Last July we let you know that New York based Mexicue, which has a nearby location at 1720 14th St NW in DC, would be coming to 4733 Elm St., the former site of Gusto Farm to Street. At that time, we spoke with a representative from the DC location who told us the lease had just been signed and that no target opening date has been announced. Bethesda Beat now reports that the restaurant is targeting May for the opening of its first Montgomery County location. The Mexicue menu features tacos, bowls, shareable platters, margaritas and weekend brunch.

We smoke, braise, char, pickle, juice, mash, grind and create — in a way that is inspired by the Mexican tradition, all with a twist of the American South. Mexicue is the ultimate place to unwind and dine — or order a round of tequila to take the night to the next level.”
