Signage is now up at the upcoming Chopt location in the Kentlands neighborhood of Gaithersburg. The new restaurant is located next to MOD pizza on Commerce Square.
Previously, the Kentlands Chopt aimed to open in October. We spoke to representatives from the Rockville Chopt today and were told us the new Kentlands location is now scheduled to open in January.

Gaithersburg Councilmember Neil Harris told us that CVS is moving forward with the plan back in 2019. Yesterday he confirmed that CVS would be moving in to the property, where a new building will be erected.

Wawa will now be able to apply for building permits, which would allow construction to begin over two years after the decision to open in Gaithersburg was made.

Layilah Nasser, a native of Montgomery Village and graduate of Watkins Mill High School was crowned Miss Maryland in July of this year.

The Maryland Department of Transportation’s State Highway Administration (SHA) has initiated a Multi Modal Shared Streets pilot project, to be implemented on MD 193 (University Blvd.) between Amherst Avenue and Arcola Avenue in Wheaton, Montgomery County.
This project will temporarily repurpose travel lanes to enhance safety and mobility for all roadway users.
