Schupak, MPT’s current executive vice president and station manager, will become the sixth president and chief executive officer of the 55-year-old statewide TV network on July 1, succeeding retiring CEO Larry D. Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay is making waves in Maryland as he films his renowned television series, “Kitchen Nightmares” or a show with a similar premise. Today, the Frederick Police Department shared a photo of Ramsay posing with two of its officers, confirming the chef’s presence in the area.

On Sunday, March 9, at 2 am, we “spring forward” for daylight saving time, losing an hour of sleep but gaining an extra hour of daylight in the evening, with the sun setting at 7:09 p.m. that day. This shift also coincides with an anticipated rise in temperatures, reaching the mid-70s later in the week.

MCFRS

Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to a significant structure fire early this morning on Cove Ledge Court, located off Watkins Mill Road in Montgomery Village. The initial dispatch was received around 3:50 AM, and the situation escalated to a second alarm due to the severity of the fire.

Rockville

Adventist HealthCare Shady Grove Medical Center has received a $1 million gift from businessman and philanthropist Conrad V. Aschenbach in memory of his wife, Lois. The gift will help the hospital fund a six-story patient tower, which is currently under construction to upgrade emergency and critical-care spaces.
