Sunday’s storm didn’t bring as much as forecasted by most for the immediate area, but has left a few neighborhood streets and sidewalks slushy. The bitter cold in the morning along with the potential for anything wet or slushy to freeze may cause some school systems to have a delayed opening.
An additional Cold Weather Advisory has been issued by the National Weather Service (NWS). The initial Cold Weather Advisory remains in effect from 7pm this evening until 10am tomorrow. The additional advisory goes into effect at 10pm on Tuesday until 10am Thursday.
A Cold Weather Advisory is in effect from 7pm Monday until 10am Tuesday for DC, and portions of central, northeast, and northern Maryland (including all of Montgomery County), and central, northern, and northwest Virginia.
