Han Spot, the new dim sum restaurant that’s coming to the space that was previously home to Union Jack’s until June 2020 (9811 Washingtonian Blvd), is now hiring ahead of it’s anticipated opening in the coming months (date unknown).

For the first time, Metro is inviting transit lovers across the region to come together for a family-friendly celebration. Metro Fest is a community event open to the public at no cost. The event will include arts and crafts, games, entertainment, snacks, water, and Metro-branded giveaways.
MCB Real Estate, Developer of Viva White Oak, Purchases Additional Montgomery County Shopping Center
MCB Real Estate, a commercial real estate investment management firm with nationwide holdings, announced on Monday that it has purchased Takoma Park Shopping Center, located at 8750 Arliss St. in Takoma Park, MD. MCB acquired the property from an undisclosed private seller, represented by JLL.
Trustar Bank has announced the recent purchase of 7901 Norfolk Avenue and its plans to open a new office in Bethesda, Maryland this fall, subject to regulatory approval. The building was the longtime home of Corner Slice, which closed earlier this year.

Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) are on the scene of a collision that involves at two vehicles at the intersection of Watkins Pond Blvd and Frederick Rd in the King Farm area of Rockville.
Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) named Dr. Thomas W. Taylor the school system’s next Superintendent on Monday afternoon. In its report on the new MCPS Superintendent, the Washington Post noted that Chief Operating Officer Brian Hull is no longer with the school system as of this past weekend.
In recognition of Juneteenth, Wednesday, June 19, Metrorail will open at 5 a.m. and close at midnight, operating on Saturday service levels. Metrobus will run Saturday Supplemental service, to provide additional buses beyond the typical weekend schedule but less than a normal weekday.
