Eduardo Valdivia, a federal agent, has been convicted on six counts of second-degree rape and two counts of fourth-degree sexual offense by a jury, according to the Montgomery County State’s Attorney Office. The jury reached its decision after deliberating for just over three hours. Valdivia’s sentencing hearing is scheduled for October 14 at 1:30 pm.

The next effort is called Build Gaithersburg 2040, which will be revising both the Land Use and Transportation Elements, looking out to 2040. Montgomery County Police have arrested 44-year-old Nicholas Lloyd of Germantown for allegedly shooting three people during an ongoing dispute outside his home on Shadyside Way on July 16, 2025. He faces multiple attempted murder and assault charges and is being held without bond.
