Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich will hold six Community Conversations from March through May to discuss long-term priorities and the Fiscal Year 2027 Capital Improvements Program budget. Five meetings will be in-person across the county, with a virtual session on May 6, providing residents an opportunity to share input on major projects, including schools, transportation, parks, and public facilities.

The Montgomery County Animal Services and Adoption Center in Derwood is hosting a free “Find Your Lucky Pup” adoption event for all dogs from March 14 to March 17 to help alleviate overcrowding at the shelter. Adoptions are first-come, first-served, and fees are covered by Friends of Montgomery County Animals, with details available on the MCASAC website.
