L&L Hawaiian Barbecue, located at 785 Rockville Pike, Suite G, in the Ritchie Center in Rockville, has announced its grand opening weekend will take place January 3 to January 6. The restaurant will occupy the space previously home to Superbowl Noodle House, which closed permanently in March. As part of the celebration, L&L Hawaiian Barbecue will raffle off a free iPhone 16.

The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) is urging residents to plan ahead and avoid driving under the influence of alcohol or cannabis during the holiday season. To address impaired driving, MCPD has launched a “Holiday Task Force,” running sobriety checkpoints and patrols from November 20 through January 11.
During the week of December 4-7, the task force arrested 37 individuals for driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, bringing the three-week total to 109 arrests. Additional DUI arrests made by patrol officers are not included in this total.
Update: Zaniah Nyjai Wolfe has been located safe and unharmed.
