According to District 3 Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) Commander Jason Cokinos, a downtown Silver Spring resident spotted two individuals attempting to steal a car and called 911. Montgomery County’s State’s Attorney’s Office has launched the second annual “Speak Up, Save a Life” Student Video PSA Contest, inviting middle and high school students to create short videos highlighting the dangers of drug use, with top prizes of up to $1,000 and a submission deadline of November 8.
Attorney General Anthony G. Brown announced a settlement with True Bullion LLC (GSI Exchange) allowing Maryland clients to receive refunds for precious metals purchases after GSI Exchange and its senior partner were accused of acting as unregistered investment advisers and making misleading statements, particularly to senior citizens.
