Last week, we reported that Halal Guys at 522 N Frederick Ave in the Gaithersburg Square shopping center had permanently closed. We now know that Naz’s Halal will be opening up in the recently vacated space.
The City of Gaithersburg has announced details for its annual Junior Mayor contest.
The Montgomery County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) has announced it will be off will be offering low-cost adult bike classes in April, May and June.
On Tuesday, Montgomery County announced that $900,000 in grant funded was awarded to 136 County organizations to improve security and deter hate crimes. The funds will come through the County’s Nonprofit Security Grants program. (more…)
UPDATE: The lockdown has been lifted at Fox Chapel Elementary School. There is no known threat at this time. The students will return to their normal dismissal and extra-curricular activities.
