Dogfish Head Alehouse announced that it will be closing its Falls Church, VA location at 6220 Leesburg Pike in the Seven Corners Shopping Center. The restaurant says it was unable to come to terms with the property owner when it came time to renew its lease. The last day of service will be on May 15.
The Dogfish Alehouse locations at 800 W. Diamond Ave in Gaithersburg and 13041 Lee Jackson Memorial Hwy in Fairfax, VA will remain open.
Update: The child has been reunited with his parents.

Update: The indoor portion/lobby of Starbucks has reopened but the drive-thru remains closed at this time.
Monday, April 18: The Starbucks at 160 Kentlands Blvd in Gaithersburg is temporarily closed. We were told by a representative from the store that there was an issue with their computers and registers, and that they hope to be open tomorrow.

ANNAPOLIS, MD—Governor Larry Hogan today joined global leaders of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to launch the open house for the Washington, D.C. Temple in Kensington.
“Since 1974, this temple with its beautiful towering spires has been an iconic landmark in Maryland’s skyline along the Capital Beltway and it has been a beacon of hope for the more than 40,000 Marylanders who are members of the church,” said Governor Hogan. “Congratulations to all of the leaders on this wonderful celebration of faith, community, and fellowship.”
The Olney Chamber of Commerce has received a $1,000,000 grant from the State of Maryland for a new, permanent satellite police station and community center, replacing the existing police trailer that is located in front of Onelife Fitness at 17821 Georgia Avenue. (April 18, 2022) Olney, MD – The Olney Chamber of Commerce will receive a $1 million grant from the State of Maryland allocated towards construction of the Olney Police Satellite Station and Community Facility. The project involves replacing an existing trailer that currently houses the Olney Police Satellite Station with a permanent building. In addition to the police facility, the building will provide office and meeting space for the Chamber of Commerce, as well as other community and non-profit organizations.
