Montgomery County has been without Hooters since November 1st, 2017.
Hooters closed following the death of Montgomery County police officer, Noah Leotta. Officer Leotta was killed by Luis Gustavo Reluzco, a man who admitted he drank heavily at Hooters before leaving and striking Leotta as the officer was conducting a traffic stop on December 3rd, 2015.
Earlier tonight we were informed that Hooters posted job openings for Hooters Girls, To-Go and Kitchen Staff about 4 weeks ago.
A few calls to nearby Hooters locations didn’t provide us with any answers, so we are waiting to speak with their corporate offices tomorrow morning.
Their former Rockville Pike location remains mostly unchanged since Hooters closed a couple years ago.
