Joleen Johnson, a kindergarten teacher at Lakewood Elementary School in Rockville, was one of many MCEA members to show up to Ike Leggett’s budget meeting wearing red (red for ed).
Joleen spoke about how difficult it is to successfully teach a kindergarten class full of 30 students. To do this, she dumped 30 ping pong balls on the floor to demonstrate what could happen.
“Of my 30 students, some of them are gonna roll away and get lost.”
