MoCoShow High School Football Top 10 – Week 5

Below you will see the Top 10 following the week 5 games and leading into week 6 matchups on Friday.

1. Quince Orchard 5-0 (LW 1)

The Cougars took their doughnut show on the road and served Seneca Valley 35-0.  QB Savan Briggs went 9 out of 12 for 186 yds and 4 TDs. Up next a trip to the Launching Pad to take on Richard Montgomery.

2. Blair 5-0 (LW 3)

The Blazers turned up the heat in the 2nd half scoring 30 unanswered points to cook Blake 52-13, to remain undefeated.  QB Kendell Anderson accounted for 196 total yards and 3 TDs.  A road game vs a rugged Rockville squad is up next.

3.  Damascus  4-1 (LW 4)

The Swarmin’ Hornets stung a scrappy Watkins Mill 63-6.  As a team Damascus ran for 251 yards and 6 TDs.  Next up, a home game vs rival Clarksburg.  

4. Seneca Valley 4-1  (LW 2)

The Screamin’ Eagles took their 1st loss of the season falling to Quince Orchard 35-0.  As a team Seneca ran for 109 yards. A road game at Wootton is on tap.

5. Paint Branch  3-2  (LW 6)

The Panthers mauled Wheaton 54-14. RB Roman Spikes ran for 188 yards and 3 TDs.  A battle for Northeast Consortium supremacy is on the line this Friday as Paint Branch travels to Blake..

6. Sherwood  4-1  (LW 7)

The Warriors slayed Northwood 54-0. RB Van Mahoney ran for 133yds and 2 TDs on 2 carries! Sherwood will travel to the Black Hole to take on Northwest next.

7. Walter Johnson  4-1  (LW 8)

The Wildcats clawed their way to a huge victory over Northwest 10-7. RB Elijah Barringtine ran for 111 yards and 1 TD. The WJ defense also came up huge forcing 3 turnovers.  The Congressional Cup is on the line the Wildcats travel to BCC in the MoCoShow Game of the Week.  

8. Northwest 1-4 (LW 5)

The Jaguars lost a tough game to Walter Johnson 10-7.  As a team Northwest passed for 257 yards and 1 TD. Another crucial game is up next for NW as they host Sherwood.  

9. Poolesville 5-0  (LW 10)

The Falcons are still flying high beating Magruder 38-14, to remain undefeated. RB Evan Taylor continued to impress, running  242 yards and 5 TDs!  Poolesville will travel to Frederick County next to take on Catoctin.

10.   Blake 3-2 (9)

The Bengals fell to Blair 52-13. RB Jerimiah Seaton ran for 103 yards and 1 TD. Northeast Consortium title is on the line as Paint Branch visits on Friday.
