After months of preparation and planning, summer construction will begin on the Red Line June 1. Five stations – Glenmont, Wheaton, Forest Glen, Silver Spring, and Takoma – will be closed and with less than two weeks to go customers are encouraged to plan their travel alternatives.

April Longest, principal at Farmland Elementary School in Rockville, is this year’s winner of the Mark Mann Excellence and Harmony Award. Bethesda

Modern Revival, a transformative wellness startup founded by local entrepreneur and philanthropist Mikel Blair, launched its first location and headquarters today at 7809 Woodmont Ave. in Bethesda, providing a dedicated time and space for women to form deeper friendships and connections. Modern Revival is an “intentional community comprised of “circles” or groups of eight to 12 women that gather monthly to do self-work through meaningful dialogue, curiosity and play.”

A 22-year-old DC man pleaded guilty on Tuesday to Attempted First-Degree Murder, Conspiracy to Commit First-Degree Murder, First-Degree Assault, Conspiracy to Commit First-Degree Assault and Use of a Handgun in Commission of a Crime of Violence in the Circuit Court for Montgomery County in Rockville.
