In July we let you know that Dream on Me, the New Jersey-based company that recently purchased Buy Buy Baby’s brand and digital assets for $15.5 million and was a supplier for the store, was the successful bidder for 11 store leases at a bankruptcy auction for about $1.17 million.Buy Buy Baby’s sole Montgomery County location, at 1683 Rockville Pike in Rockville’s Congressional Plaza, closed its doors on Sunday, July 30th, but was included as one of 11 stores that will reopen. The store reopened in November and is now holding an additional “Grand Re-opening Celebration on the weekend of January 20th and 21st. Details and registration link for the free event below:

Crime

In 2011, 35-year-old Robyn Gardner of Frederick, MD traveled to Aruba with 50-year-old Gary Giordano of Gaithersburg, MD. Two days into their stay, Giordano claims that Gardner vanished while the two were snorkeling- she hasn’t been seen since and is presumed dead by Aruban police.

Crime

Per MCPD: “Officers from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 3rd District Station, with the assistance of the MCPD drone as first responder, also known as Raven 1, arrested 26-year-old Brandon Mark and 40-year-old Joseph Paul Lee, following an alleged theft that occurred at the Safeway grocery store in the 900 block of Thayer Avenue.
