The United States Capitol Police released a statement on Tuesday warning of “aggressive fox encounters” on or near the grounds of the U.S. Capitol after a fox bit Rep. Ami Bera (D-California). on Monday night.

We have received several reports of aggressive fox encounters on or near the grounds of the U.S. Capitol.

MoCo Police

A jury convicted defendant Biet Van Tran, 65, of Silver Spring on charges of first-degree murder for the stabbing death of Linh Pham, 23, and two counts of attempted first-degree murder for the attacks on Quy Luc, 30, and Thi Nguyen, 19.

Tran faces life in prison and is scheduled for a sentencing hearing on Sept. 20th, 2022, at 1:30p.m.


Fairland

A jury has found defendant, Joshua Toure, 26, of Boyds, guilty of first-degree felony murder, second-degree murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, for the death of 28-year-old Joseph Davis.

Toure faces life in prison plus an additional 20 years. The verdict came down late yesterday evening, and a sentencing hearing has not yet been scheduled.
