The Truck Will Host Regular Hours in Montgomery County, Md. As Well As Private Events

Today, Chef Jarrad Silver announces the launch of his new food truck, Silver and Sons BBQ to debut in the parking lot of Captains Market at 7607 Macarthur Boulevard in Bethesda, Maryland on March 12. Silver’s take on barbecue is heavily influenced by his Jewish upbringing and professional training in the kitchens of local Mediterranean restaurants. In addition to being stationed at Captains Market, Silver and Sons BBQ is also available through pre-orders, neighborhood deliveries, and private catering.

The Stoltzfus family, owners of the Dutch Family Restaurant located inside of the Lancaster County Dutch Market at 12613 Wisteria Dr. in Germantown, were injured in a serious car accident in South Carolina on Sunday morning.  The family was traveling to Florida for a vacation.

Silver Spring

Multiple news outlets have reported that David Bennett, the man who received the first UHeart™ from Silver Spring’s United Therapeutics Corporation, has died.

Per USA Today, “It’s not yet clear precisely what caused Bennett’s death, according to the University of Maryland Medical Center, where he received the transplant Jan. 7 and had been recovering since. He began deteriorating in recent days and the hospital announced his death Wednesday.”


Takoma Park

The planning team will brief the City Council of Takoma Park on existing conditions on March 9 and the Montgomery County Planning Board on March 31.

WHEATON, MD – The Montgomery County Planning Department, part of The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC), and the City of Takoma Park are holding a virtual presentation to the community on the existing conditions within the study area of the Takoma Park Minor Master Plan Amendment. During the meeting, which will be held online on Zoom on March 29 from 6 to 8 p.m., the Planning team will share timeline and process information as well as answer questions from participants about the plan and process. Perseus TDC announces it has acquired a five-story, 65,000-square-foot office building at 4405 East-West Highway in Bethesda, Maryland with plans to redevelop the site as a 10-story multifamily community with more than 300 units.
