Montgomery County Police are investigating a fatal pedestrian collision that occurred Saturday, March 25, 2023, at approximately 01:50 a.m., on Columbia Pike near Hillwood Drive in Silver Spring. According to MCPD, “The preliminary investigation has revealed that an adult male pedestrian was struck by two vehicles that were traveling northbound on Columbia Pike, just south of Hillwood Dr. One of the drivers remained at the scene after the collision. The other driver left the scene and reported the collision hours later at a police station.
The Montgomery County Department of Police, Collision Reconstruction Unit is investigating this collision. A news release will be distributed once more information is available, including the name of the deceased following proper notification of next of kin.
