Update: The home has been donated to the American Cancer Society
A little more than a month since the one year anniversary of Washington Commanders owner Dan Snyder putting his 30,000 SF home at 11900 River Rd. is Potomac up for sale– the house was pulled from the market and donated to the American Cancer Society. The home was initially listed at $49 million, which would have been a DMV record if it sold for the asking price. In August 2023, the home listing showed that the asking price dropped by 28.8% and is currently at $34.9 million.

Pink Chicken, a children’s clothing company, has just opened its first Maryland location. The company announced the location via social media earlier this month. “Hey, Bethesda, here we come! We are so excited to be opening up a new Pink Chicken store in Bethesda, MD -opening mid March! Our customers mean so much to us, and can’t wait to meet more of you in person so so soon!”

Robert Wiedmaier’s Mussel Bar & Grille closed its 7262 Woodmont Ave Bethesda location in April 2022, but we let you know the group planned to bring the restaurant back to a new location in Bethesda in 2024. Now it has been reported that the restaurant’s return to Bethesda will be below Tommy Joe’s, at 4903 Cordell Avenue in Bethesda, according to Robert Dyer.

The Bethesda Arts & Entertainment District and Bethesda Urban Partnership are seeking artists for the Signal Box Public Art project. Fifteen signal boxes located throughout downtown Bethesda have been selected for artistic vinyl wraps to adorn the boxes.
The Corner Slice, a mainstay at 7901 Norfolk Ave. in Bethesda, has closed. Readers have noted that the restaurant has been closed for a few weeks and our phone calls have gone unanswered since the start of the month. A sign has now been put in the window stating that Corner Slice is “out of business” according to Robert Dyer.
