Potomac Native Christopher Williams Chosen by NASA as a New Astronaut Candidate; Over 12,000 Applied 

Earlier today, NASA announced that they had selected a class of new astronaut candidates. Out of over 12,000 hopefuls who applied, only 10 were selected.  


The Washington Football Team is on to its fourth kicker of the season, after signing MoCo native Brian Johnson off of the Chicago Bears practice squad.

In an unlikely sequence of events in Washington’s Monday Night Football victory, the Football Team saw kicker Joey Slye get his extra point blocked then suffer a hamstring injury while attempting to chase down Rasheem Green, who ended up returning it all the way to give Seattle 2 points before the half.


New Washington Wizards guard, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (KCP), is now a MoCo resident. Biz Journals recently reported that the NBA player bought a home in Potomac for $4.9 million.

According to our real estate expert, Nurit Coombe (The Agency DC), the home, which is located on Newhall Road in Potomac, was originally listed for $5,499,000 and later changed to $4,999,000, before closing at $4,900,000.


It has been nearly two years (December 2019) since we learned that Frank Pepe’s would be opening its first Maryland pizzeria right here in MoCo– in Montgomery Mall.

After many delays, we learned this past summer that the restaurant was back on track to open, as they were given their beer and wine license in a hearing that took place at 10am on September 2nd.


Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police -2nd District Investigative Section are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing adult male.

On November 26, at approximately 9:30 a.m., Oren Moshe Peter, age 23, was last seen leaving his residence in the 5700 block of Kingswood Road in Bethesda. He was driving a Gray 2007 Honda Pilot bearing Maryland Tag 45096CA.


Condor Hospitality Trust, Inc. (NYSE American: CDOR) (the “Company”), a hotel-focused real estate investment trust (“REIT”) headquartered and incorporated in Bethesda, Maryland, today announced that it has completed the sale of the Company’s 15 hotels.

The sale of the hotels was completed pursuant to the previously announced Hotel Purchase and Sale Agreement, dated September 22, 2021, between the Company and B9 Cowboy Mezz A LLC, a Delaware limited liability company and an affiliate of Blackstone Inc. (the “Buyer”), in which the Company agreed to sell the hotels to Buyer and Buyer agreed to purchase the hotels for a purchase price of $305,000,000.
