In October we let you know that Japanese retailer UNIQLO is coming to Westfield Montgomery Mall (7101 Democracy Blvd) in Bethesda. In February shared that the retailer received a permit valued at $1.425 million to build out the store, and now we know the store has set an opening date of Friday, May 23rd.
Today, Anissa Maroof, 48, of Potomac, Maryland, pled guilty to a federal charge of distributing and dispensing controlled substances.
On Thursday afternoon, Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to a fire at a single-family home located in the 9200 block of Rosehill Drive in Bethesda. The fire, which began in the garage, quickly spread to the basement and first floor of the residence. MCFRS Chief spokesperson provided an update on Friday morning.

Last week, we reported that Michelin-recommended Nan Xiang Soup Dumplings and Shiki Fusion would be joining the Montgomery Mall Food Terrace, and we now have more details on both– including a chef-curated omakase tasting menu that will be offered at Shiki Fusion.
