Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to a single-family house fire on Maidens Bower Ct in Potomac around 2am on Friday.
The American Cancer Society has lowered the price of the property that was donated to the organization by former Washington Commanders owners Dan and Tanya Snyder earlier this year. The house, located at 11900 River Rd. in Potomac, is now available for $29.9 million– a $5 million price drop from the previous $34.9 million price, and almost $20 million less than the $49 million it was initially listed for in February 2023.
The team behind popular local spots like Melina, Julii, Cava Mezze, and the soon-to-open Bouboulina has confirmed to us that they will be taking over the former Renato’s restaurant space at 10120 River Rd in the Potomac Village Shopping Center. Renato’s will close at the end of this month.

On Tuesday, the Bullis school shared the sad news of the community mourning the tragic loss of Coach Ray Butler, a deeply respected member of the school for over a decade.
