The District of Columbia State Athletic Association (DCSAA) has announced a new policy that will change how students attend high school football games this season. Effective immediately, all DCPS and DC Public Charter School students must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian in order to attend any regular season high school football game.
The Country Calling Festival will return to Ocean City, Maryland this fall with one of its biggest lineups yet. The three-day event, scheduled for October 3–5, 2025, will take place at the Ocean City Inlet and feature more than 25 acts across multiple stages, anchored by three of country music’s biggest names: Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan, and Luke Combs.
Berries & Bowls, the popular superfood café known for its açai bowls, smoothies, and juices, is set to open a new location in College Park. The shop will be located at 4350 Knox Road, on the ground floor of the Union on Knox apartment building. An official opening date has not yet been announced.

Bakehouse, which opened in Downtown Frederick at 69 S. Market St. back in March 2021, has announced that it will moving to a new home at 155 West Patrick St. in Downtown Frederick in 2026. A Montgomery County, MD man has been sentenced to 40 years in prison for the murder of a Morgantown, WV resident last summer. According to the Monongalia County Sheriff’s Office, now-20-year-old Arnold Johnson III, of Montgomery Village, was convicted and sentenced in the shooting death of 21-year-old Rashad Malik Alton of Morgantown.
